I am worried about my prolapse and repeated urine infection. I feel a bit fobbed off by my GP and there are no female GP’s to talk to. I have been given 3 courses of antibiotics but still feel ill. I have a slight prolapse which my GP isn’t concerned about but \i am very distressed by. I don’t know who else to turn to. Is there a women’s clinic or somewhere I can go?

Hi there, I have heard bad reports about the hospital I am due to give birth in, in April and I’m unsure if they offer the private room and facilities I have in mind. This distresses me and I wonder if there are reports that would prove good things? Can anyone help discuss?

    • Hi Bethany

Thanks for getting in touch with the MSLC.

To reassure you, the Royal Sussex County Hospital Maternity Services recently passed an inspection from the Care Quality Commission – the government funded organisation that looks at the standards of care provided by hospitals and care homes. Also, at Brighton and Hove MSLC, we regularly survey new parents about their experiences at the Royal Sussex. During the last survey, the women we talked to rated the quality of services on the labour ward between 9 and 10 out of 10.

You may like to talk to a midwife about any worries you have. Supervisors of Midwives are specially trained midwives who are there to help individual women with specific concerns. You can phone the Labour Ward (the phone number on your notes) at any time and ask to speak to the Supervisor of Midwives on call who will be happy to talk through your concerns.

I’m wondering what bad reports you have heard ? I have noticed you have conducted us by email – so I will message you back with my number – and we can have a talk too if you’d like.

      Hope that helps !

      Best wishes

      Hannah
