Your local MSLC is a Maternity Services Liaison Committee.
We are group of parents who meet regularly with local midwives, doctors and other health professionals to discuss how the Brighton and Hove maternity services are being run. We call ourselves ‘Parent Reps’.
We make sure the views of parents are taken into account when decisions are being made – and that the needs of women and their families are prioritised.
We also provide information and support for local parents and parents-to-be on all aspects of your pregnancy, birth and the first few months of parenthood.
We can put you in touch with key people who can help at any time during your pregnancy and afterwards.
We meet up every two months – either in Hove at the MSLC Parents Forum or at the official MSLC meeting at the Royal Sussex County Hospital.
